Turbo vacuum line setup

Just run a line from the pipeing like you have to the stock bcs then to the wastegate no problem. Then you won't have to worry about anything over 12 psi when you turn it. I did this install about 5 months ago. You won't regret it! So I'm guessing it should be this then? The stock setup is a bleeder style, but almost reverse. The default position of the solenoid is closed.

When the car is ON the solenoid is opened and air can freely pass between the pressure source and nipple on the intake pipe. When you start to hit boost it stays open, bleeding off pressure before it can act upon the WGA. JPG I did this: You must be logged in to view this image or video. You want the other side of the BCS going to the intake tube since it's essentially a boost leak. Its a Dejon Hard Intake The following picture yes this is an actual picture, my camera is Megapixels is the stock 2g vacuum setup.

This is pretty much what Mr. Peepers posted above. Boost92awd Proven Member. Yes I've seen that. But it does not help without an MBC. Worry more about boost later when you have the fuel system and tuning to handle it.

With removed emissions, that line would go to your valve cover breather. If you still have emissions, you should have another intake fitting that leads to a solenoid for the charcoal canister as well. If you use a catch can, route it back into the intake pipe through a closed system.

During idle and cruise, the PCV valve and sucks air in through the crankcase from the breather. With the breather VTA, it will suck in unmetered air. Do not use a breather filter. Click to expand You guys always come through for me.

Ill take the BCS out of the vacuum loop, but keep it "plugged in". I know that I have the vacuum line off the valve cover going to a catchcan. I believe this is the other line that peepers says goes to the charcoal canister. Ill have to look into it a little more. I would like to keep "emissions" if it will help me pass inspection and not throw a CEL. I just was unsure if the line was left open if it would create some sort of boost leak. Mr Peepers said:. Is there any other place I can reroute the exit end of the catch can to since I don't have a location to route it into the intake pipe?

I'll just leave the exit of the catch can open in the engine bay. MrBoxx Moderator. All the lovely MS Paint diagrams Fox said:. KrazyRob Proven Member. I know this is an old tread. Where is the best place to hook a vaccum line to my wastegate? Right now i have it hooked to my stock 2g air intake tunnel using all the availble ports like stock.. Im getting ready for smog here in CA and trying to go stock as much as i can for the test..

Make sure you run a restrictor on the oil feed line. Otherwise you'll have the same issue as me and you'll blow the turbo oil seals. The CX unit is a ball bearing and the feed line they provide gives way too much oil pressure. I covered the major issues there. Much thanks for your reply!!! I have read through your thread and I gotta say your setup looks good bro! I will be sure to use the restrictor before I do anything. I will post a pi of the feed I let they gave me and it looks like it is reduced but I'll take your thoughts over their since they are of not help.

I noticed a y adapter on the turbo. And in the pics it looks like both are heading towards this fitting. Does the wastegate and BOV run to this? And whether did you feed you boost gauge from. Sorry for all the questions. I could tap you brain for hours since I do not know very much about this subject.

I ran a tee from the back of the manifold on the brake booster line. There is a metal connector pipe that you can safely remove to do this. It is held on by one bolt. I don't have a pic of the factory metal piece, but below is how I ran mine. Fully reversible with no cutting.

The tee is a universal multi size, cut to fit tee from Autozone. I also have a few install pics on Instagram. Attached Images. If you have to zip tie any of the hoses coming from the Wastegate or the BOV please don't tighten them to much; as the zip tie may pinch the line and give you HUGE If this pic loads this is what they sent for the feed line adapter on the turbo. Here is a reference pic with a quarter.

It looks the same to me honestly. Hopefully you will get you car back soon. I'm sure you miss it. I've been lucky to do all the work myself.

Skunk2 ultra radiator made everything fit wrong on the turbo kit. Went with after market dans to solve most of the issues and a mushroom filter directly on the turbo. Full Blown oil pan for the return port and greater oil capacity. Hopefully it will be up and ready for tune in a couple weeks. I appreciate all the help you have been. Picked up the vacuume fittings today.
